I checked six brands.
Not one would show me the list.
So here is ours. All 27 ingredients, including the two that do not help us sell. And what it costs per gram, next to what everyone else costs.
I used to think smelling good was a spending problem. $180 here. $250 there. Bottles lined up on a dresser like trophies I could not afford to replace.
They all smelled incredible. For about two hours.
So I stopped reading price tags and started reading labels.
Cologne is not failing you. It is working exactly as designed.
Cologne is fragrance oil dissolved in alcohol. The alcohol carries the oil onto your skin and then evaporates — that is the entire mechanism. On warm skin it lifts off in two or three hours and takes the oil with it. Nothing stays, because nothing was ever anchored.
Which is why a body butter works: scent that sits in your skin rather than on your shirt. That part is not controversial. Every brand in this category says it.
What none of them say is what is actually in the jar.
“No parabens” names one thing that is absent, out of roughly thirty that are present. It is a claim about the half of the label that flatters you.
So we made one rule for VESPR: print everything. Here it is, in descending order of concentration, exactly as it appears on the jar.

The two lines that cost us the sale
Lines 15 and 17 are the ones every brand in this category quietly leaves out, and most of them go further and claim the opposite. We printed them because a list you have edited is not a list.
What else is true, plainly: no parabens — the preservative system is phenoxyethanol and chlorphenesin. No sulfates. No animal-derived ingredients. We are not going to call it vegan or cruelty-free, because those are certifications and we do not hold them. And there are no pheromones in it. Several brands in this category build their whole pitch on pheromones and not one will show you the study.

The comparison nobody lets you make
Try it yourself first. Pick any body butter in this category and find out how many grams are in the jar. It is not in the title, not in the description, not on the product page. We read every visible word on all three on 23 September 2026 and found no net weight anywhere.
So we weighed them. Here is the arithmetic you are not supposed to be able to do.

A $27 jar looks cheaper than a $39.90 jar. It is not. It is 140 grams against 200, which works out at $19.29 per 100 g against our $19.95 — a difference of three percent, on a jar that runs out six weeks sooner.
The other two are not close. Him+ is 34% more per gram than we are. Crowned is 48% more. Both of them read as the same kind of jar at the same kind of price, right up until you know what is in them.
None of the three prints its weight. That is not an oversight — a number you do not publish is a number nobody can hold against you. Ours is in the product title, on the jar, and in the SKU, so you can do this division yourself and check our work.

What this is not
The fastest way to lose you is to oversell, so here is the rest of the honest list.
- It is not an identical copy of a designer fragrance. It is an interpretation built to smell expensive in its own right. Anyone promising an exact match is setting you up to be disappointed.
- It is not a room-filling spray. It sits close for the first hour, then settles into something people pick up when they are near you.
- It is not the cheapest per gram. The table above says so in our own words.
- We will not promise you a reaction. Nobody can, and the brands that do are covering for something.
